Canine Epilepsy
... is one of the worst, if not THE worst, diseases you and your canine friends can experience. Having been there and done that, I hope from the bottom of my heart you NEVER learn why.
In September 2007, I lost my friend, border collie "Ski", to this terrible disease.
Thanks to many people who have donated to epilepsy research in Ski's name, or have dedicated agility runs to him. I am truly touched!
I would like to call your attention to Tinna Brown's web site and the epilepsy resources listed there. Tinna's border collie, "Frazzle", had his first seizure while doing agility. Learn more about Frazzle on his page, onTinna's web site.
Tinna is actively working to raise money for epilepsy research, including the sale of a bracelet "Seize the Gene" that she designed to help raise research money. She is also involved with sponsoring blood draws, to help get more samples submitted for research.
I will have a small display at TCOTC's AKC trial over Thanksgiving weekend this year about epilepsy research, and will be taking donations for research as well. I hope to have some of Tinna's bracelets available to sell. I will have more information available about this later.
